  1. I just wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed reading you blog today – it is the first time that I have seen it. You are in a very special place, surrounded by truly wonderful people. A million words could never accurately convey my affection for the people and the place that surrounds you. This cause must never go silent. When people stop writing and the media coverage ceases the people of Gangjeong and their struggle no longer exists beyond Korea. The isolation of the island, lack of international coverage and limitations of local media outlets are a tremendous hurdle facing this movement. Please keep up the great work. The writing and imagery you are creating is a gift to all who care for Gangjeong.

    With best wishes,

    Matthew Hoey

    • Thank you Matthew for those kind words. You and indeed right, this is a very special place where they are refusing to combat a war logic with violence but choose to add more peace bows, love, compassion and pure old stubborn refusal to choose a combatants point of view.

I really wish more people would come, meet the people, learn about the construction of the base and what it is doing to the village and the world.
